Minister of State for Diaspora Mr Pandeli Majko held a meeting with representatives of the Coordinating Council of Teachers in the Diaspora (KKAD), Dr Vaxhid Sejdiu (chairman), Mustafë Krasniqi (vice-chairman), Teuta Tabaku (secretary) and Miradije Berishaj and Dritan Mashin (members). In his introductory speech, Mr Majko acquainted the members of the Council with the efforts of the Albanian government, specifically of the institution he leads, to be as close as possible to the demands and needs not only of the Albanian schools in the Diaspora. He spoke in general about the establishment of a structure, which took over the responsibility for coordinating the problems, demands and needs, which are urgent, for a better organization of the Albanian Diaspora.
He focused on the establishment of the Coordinating Council of Teachers in the Diaspora (KKAD), as a structure that not only represents a large part of the countries where there is an active Albanian community, but they with their work have proven as an example in organizing Albanian schools. where they operate and work. It was clearly stated that among the obvious steps are the efforts to provide timely textbooks for Albanian schools everywhere in the diaspora, the publication of the magazine “Letters from the Diaspora”, meetings, consultations and joint efforts with Kosovo institutions in the service of the diaspora, efforts for the publication of new textbooks, where the work of the Joint Commission was highly praised.
