State Minister of Diaspora, Mr. Pandeli Majko attended the decoration ceremony of the “Petro Nini Luarasi” High School by the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta, on the 60th
anniversary of the school. In his speech, Minister Majko highlighted the tremendous contribution of the high school to the education of the younger generation. He stated: “Petro Nini Luarasi High School remains an important education source for the capital of Albania. The most important point that needs to be emphasized regarding this school is the continuous work of its teachers”.
In addition, Minister Majko thanked the high school students and teachers for their recent initiative,”Një abetare për Diasporën” (An Alphabet Book for Diaspora), which consists in distributing alphabet
books to various elementary schools in Italy and Greece.
Furthermore, the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta, gives the “Kalorës i Urdhrit të Flamurit” award to the Petro Nini Luarasi High School. He stated that this award is “in recognition of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the school, for its precious educational activities, and for the education and cultivation of moral and human values of the younger generation, by making them an example of civility in our society”
The ceremony was attended by various leaders of this institution, current and former teachers, and a considerable number of pupils of the “Petro Nini Luarasi” High School.
