The State Minister for Diaspora meets his Irish counterpart. The two countries are ready for cooperation agreement.

During the second day of the visit to Ireland, the State Minister for Diaspora, Mr. Pandeli Majko had a bilateral meeting with his Irish counterpart, Mr. Ciarán Cannon. The ministers discussed the possibility of having a bilateral agreement in the field of Diaspora and cooperating in various joint projects.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed their experiences with Diaspora; Mr. Cannon explained to Mr. Majko the Diaspora projects in Ireland, meanwhile Mr. Majko informed him on the progress that Albania has made towards the engagement of the Albanian Diaspora. In addition, Mr. Cannon expressed his readiness to provide assistance and information related to their diaspora experience.

At the end of the day, Minister Majko also met with representatives of the “Ireland Reaching Out” organization and representatives of the Galway Tribal Diaspora Project. The representatives informed the Minister on the Irish experiences in Diaspora engagement.
